It is possible for the public to obtain financial accounts, provided that the company has submitted the compulsory to us, accounts.

5. What is the procedure for the issue of certified copies of Companie’s documents kept by the Registrar of Companies?

Any interested person may apply to the Registrar of Companies for certified copies including the following information provided that he has paid the prescribed
fees: Directors, Shareholders, Certificate of Incorporation, Registered Office, Goodstanding, Capital Memorandum & Articles of Association. The payment may be made by cash or by cheque in the name of the Registrar of Companies. The applicants abroad may apply for certified copies to the Registrar of Companies to the email address asofokleous@papd.mof.gov.cy, deptcomp@drcor.mcit.gov.cy or eterion@drcor.mcit.gov.cy. The payable amount may be reemitted to the Central Bank of Cyprus (SWIFT CODE: CBCYCY2NFBU) through Target 2 for the credit of Government General Account no. CY16001000010000000006001010 in favor of Registrar of Companies & Official Receiver. The payment may be also effected through the Cyprus Embassy in the applicant’s country to account (N.14.01.04.1.00.206).Top of the Page



6. What is the procedure of Registration of a company in Cyprus?

An application has to be made to the Registrar of Companies for the approval of the name. For this service, the payable fees with normal proceedure, is £5, 8.54 and with urgent proceedure is £15, 25.63. After the approval of the name, a Cyprus lawyer has to file with the Registrar the necessary documents and

7. How are registration fees calculated and how are increase of capital fees calculated?

The amount of registration fees is calculated in accordance with the amount of capital. When there is an increase of capital the fee is calculated according to the difference between the fee payable on the nominal capital of the company and the fee payable on the increased capital.

The registrar is notified by form C.16.

9. How can trade marks and patents be protected?

Protection is safeguarded by registration with the Office of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver. Copyright is protected through use. The mark © is noted on the work, as well as the year of circulation and the name of the beneficiary.

10. Which amount should be paid before filing a bankruptcy petition?

Before filing a bankruptcy petition the sum of 188 is deposited with the account of the Official Receiver.

11. Before filing a bankruptcy petition which amount should be owed by the debtor?

For a debtor's petition to be filed, the debtor must owe the sum of £5000.00, 8543.00 and for a creditors petition the sum of £500.00, 854.30 should be owed.

12. What particulars are necessary for the issue of a solvency certificate?

Name of person, identity card number and telephone number. The fees is 40.00 plus 20.00 for priority service.

13. When is an annual return considered as duly submitted?

The annual general meeting of a company is convened within eighteen months of the date of its registration. Forty two days later the company should file its first annual return with the Registrar of Companies. Once a year the annual return, must be submitted. This should be done within fifteen months from the previous annual return, without disregarding the calendar year (sections 118, 120 and 125 cap. 113).
