The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism announces that a public tender was published on Tuesday 17th of June 2015, seeking a Strategic Investor for the licensing of Government land and the front sea area for the development of the Paralimni Marina. The Paralimni Marina constitutes another important infrastructure project, intended to enhance Cyprus’ position on the nautical and yachting map, to enrich our tourism services and to establish our country as an all-year-round destination.
The marina will be constructed at the Saint Nicholas fishing shelter area. It will have a capacity of around 300 yachts and the Strategic Investor will be given the option of constructing housing and commercial developments, with the aim of enhancing the project’s attractiveness and viability. Facilities essential to the operation of the marina must also be constructed.
The term of the license agreement will be 125 years and the marina will be declared an official port of entry to the Republic of Cyprus.
