MISSION AND TARGETS OF THE CYPRUS ORGANIZATION FOR PROMOTION OF QUALITY

The Cyprus Organization for the Promotion of Quality is a non-profitable organization which represents Cyprus in the field of accreditation and technical notification internationally. Its basic objectives are to assist industries and facilitate trade in the present international spectrum of free movement of goods and services, and promote the protection of consumers and environment.

Analytically the basic aims of the organization are:
  • The introduction and management of the national system for accreditation
  • The introduction and operation of the system implementing the principles of good laboratory practice
  • The management of the national system for technical notification

The long term objective is to improve the quality of industrial products, the infrastructure of conformity assessment and the promotion of trade and services.
