DE MINIMIS Scheme addressed to small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in the processing and marketing of agricultural products, for their participation in competitions, exhibitions and fairs that take place on the Internal Market and in Third Countries

The Scheme aims to cover expenses of small & medium enterprises involved in the processing and marketing of agricultural products, which intend to participate in competitions, exhibitions and fairs that take place on the Internal Market and in Third Countries. The maximum rate of subsidy is set to €3.050 for normal exhibits and €7.350 for bulky exhibits.

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, within the framework of its efforts to further enhance exports and promotion of agricultural products and improve information of Cypriot enterprises on market conditions in various markets, grants aid towards their cost of participation in trade fairs held in the Single Market and in third countries.

Beneficiaries are legal entities (SME΄s-companies, Associations and Groups/Organizations/Producer Associations) involved in the processing and/or marketing of agricultural products. ΄Agricultural products΄ are the products listed in Annex I of the Treaty, consisting of fresh agricultural products and agri-food products, excluding fresh fish and aquaculture products.

The level of funding for participation in food fairs and exhibitions within the national stand is:
  • 100% of the rental space (up to 15 sq.ms for normal and 50 sq.ms for bulky exhibits), equipment and construction of the pavilion and shipment, customs clearance and return of exhibits
  • up to €700 per exhibition for advertising material (posters, banners, brochures, leaflets).

The level of funding for trade fairs where the beneficiaries participate within their own stand, is:
  • 50% of the rental space (up to 15 sq.ms for normal and 50 sq.ms for bulky exhibits), equipment and construction of the pavilion and shipment, customs clearance and return of exhibits

The maximum amount of the grant is set to €3.050 for normal exhibits and €7.350 for bulky exhibits.
