The Licensing Section is responsible for the issuing of import licences for textile and steel products and the issuing of export licences for dual use goods and military equipment. The Section is also responsible for the implementation of the legislation for the control of trade in rough diamonds (Kimberley Process) and the legislation for the control of trade in certain goods which could be used for capital punishment, torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
